Updated May 3, 2008

Services in 2008 will be held every Sunday from June 29 to August 31 at 10.30 am. In case of rain the service will be held in the Playhouse at Rockywold-Deephaven Camps. If the weather is uncertain, please call 968-3313 for information.

Public transportation. A boat leaves for the Chapel each Sunday at 9.30am from the Squam Lakes Natural Science center t dock (Exploring Squam) next to Walter’s Basin in Holderness and it returns there after the service. A nominal fee of $7 is charged. Anyone without boat transportation is encouraged to use this service.

However due to uncertainties in the size of boat available and the water level conditions, which could change the departure point, reservations in advance with the Science Center are encouraged at 968-7194.

Private transportation to the Island can also be arranged at http://www.experiencesquam.com/

During services, boats passing Chocorua Island during services are asked to remain well offshore and to proceed slowly and quietly in accordance with the “No Wake” sign in effect during services. Please help to spread this message.

Docking. Please put canoes and kayaks on shore or at docks in the inlet behind the main landing. Dock spaces are usually taken by about ten o’clock on Sunday mornings; offshore moorings are provided and our security boat will ferry you to and from your moored boat. Please make sure you also have an anchor on your boat.
